I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology at the University of Denver. I was accepted into a CACREP-accredited Master of Arts program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, I am currently in my last year.
Prior to entering my master’s degree program, I was a behavior therapist providing direct applied behavioral analysis therapy to children with neurodivergence or behavioral concerns. I then became a behavioral health specialist, providing psycho-educational group therapy for adolescents struggling with emotional disorders, such as PTSD, OCD, anxiety-related, and depressive-related disorders. Many of those I have worked with endorsed suicidal ideations and behaviors, allowing me to gain a strong background in suicidality. I have had the experience of providing services in a partial hospitalization program, inpatient psychiatric unit, neuropsychiatric care unit, eating disorders unit, and in-home.
I am driven to make a positive impact on others' mental health journey, fostering growth towards wellness. My passion sparked from my own struggles as an adolescent, I then devoted myself towards being the person to support others just like I was supported. I emphasize creating an empathetic and supportive environment, allowing others to feel safe and accepted throughout their journey. With therapeutic care, education, and advocacy, there are opportunities for connection, empowerment, and healing. I am dedicated to helping others in navigating their complex thoughts and emotions, reaching their mental health goals.
In my free time and for self-care, I enjoy exploring the city, traveling, and attending concerts. At home, I enjoy reading, playing video games, and watching anime. My family, friends, and dog are most important to me.
